A starting point that suits startups
Red Cliff is a B2B private-label and contract manufacturer in Las Vegas, NV. Liquid programs begin at 1,000 units per product, per size, in formats from 10 mL to 32 oz, so a new brand can launch without committing to a very large first run.
The 1,000-unit minimum applies per product, per size. The 1,000-unit minimum applies to every size, including 10 mL, whether essential oil or another product.
Mix varieties in one order
One order can include several varieties. The 1,000-unit minimum applies to each variation (each product, scent, or size).
- Three scents of one cleaner in one size: three variations, 1,000 units each.
- One product in two sizes: two variations, 1,000 units each.
- A cleaner and an essential oil blend in one order: two variations, 1,000 units each.
Cleaners, concentrates and essential oil blends come from one manufacturer, so a first line can be planned together.
Samples and fees
Samples are available with a fee: a $300 R&D fee for new product development, which covers costs and shipping the sample to the client, or a $150 sampling fee for house (stock) formulas, which covers the costs associated with the samples. The sampling fee is also $150 for a client's own formula, and can be higher if the formula is complex or needs costlier ingredients. Sample timing depends on the product.
Who owns the formula
Red Cliff owns its stock formulas and any formulas it develops, and does not sell its formulas. When a client brings its own formula, the client owns it.
Because Red Cliff keeps the formulas it develops, each program is built as a long-term partnership, so Red Cliff and the client are the right fit for each other.
