Existing-formula co-packing
Co-packing is generally the clearer path when you have an established formula or a formula-ready product direction and need to evaluate packaging, quantity, labeling, and a practical production plan. The project review still needs the relevant product and market details.
Custom formulation
Custom formulation is appropriate when the product direction is defined commercially but the formula needs to be developed or evaluated around that brief. Useful inputs include the product category, target market, package, desired order scale, and timeline.
What both paths have in common
Both require a clear understanding of the product, preferred format, quantity, and commercial requirements. The program path is determined after reviewing those inputs; a general description alone is rarely enough to establish availability or timing.
How to decide
If you can describe an existing formula or established product specification, start with a co-packing discussion. If you can describe the outcome but not the formula, start with a custom-formulation discussion. If you are unsure, state that in the project inquiry.
